Comic Strip

This is a storyboard of a superhero. I have drawn and refined on photoshop.
This is a modern translation of Hans Christian Andersen's story "The sand man". It is transfromed into a comic strip with the sandman being a superhero in the dreams of only good children, giving them hope and faith.

Design Brief

CLIENT

Nike is a major publicly traded sportswear and equipment supplier based in the United States. The brand branches out world wide and besides having their owns shops their products are sold in various stores including Myer, Rebel sports, Sims sports, Footlocker and various sports stores. Nike is represented by their iconic tick known world wide. Nike relate to not only sportswear and clothing but are also known for their popular urban style footwear.

NEED

The designer will need to design a new name and style of shoe to suit teenage boys.

The shoe must look fashionable, stylish and visually attractive. It has to be comfortable and durable, lasting in most conditions. The shoe must appeal to teenaged boys, so it may include some bright colours to make the shoe stand out. It also may need some unique fabrics and materials for the shoe to remain different form others and maintain a urban look. For the shoe to last it needs to have a hard base and made from durable materials.

TARGET AUDIENCE

Teenage boys (12-18) who earn basic to minimum wages, as the product is affordable for anyone and not too pricey. The shoes are directed towards the typical teenaged boy who has an idea about fashion and cares about their appearance. The target audience should also live in a close area to shopping centres where the product will be sold.

Poverty

This is my second poverty poster. By using images of poor children found off google, i was able to target a younger auidence by comparing these children to a wealthy baby.
This comparison shows how lucky most of us are and how we might take everyday things such as a laptop forgranted. Poverty is one of the world's most important issues, which is why i decided to create these posters.

Poverty

This is my first povert poster design. I used an image of a poor child from google and manipulated it in order to project a creative potrayal of poverty. My poster was designed to appeal to the general public, most likley an older auidencce. This was achived with the simplisity and use of a fact.

Font

This is my final "rubbish" font. I used rubbish and junk found around my house to form the shapes of letters. I then modified them in photoshop. I am fairly pleased in the end result.

Sunday, 13 March 2011

This is a very quick idea i have created by using images from google and editing them in photoshop. I have tried to portray rubbish in the background or inner colours of the font. I will use this as a draft which will be further developed and refined.
